Case Studies

The following is a list of examples of projects that we have completed.

Example #1
We worked with a company of about 80 employees to recruit, hire and train a sales force. Once that was done, we helped with other challenges as well such as:

  • Identifying and managing difficult employee dismissals
  • Hiring new key managers
  • Developing a strategic plan with the management team
  • Walking the ownership family through business succession

Example #2
We have worked with partnership groups to either, resolve and manage conflict, or to help with amicable dissolution.

This begins with a mediation process, including identifying personality differences and developing a policy manual to bring clarity and fairness to the issues that cause the business and personal conflict to get out of control.

Example #3
Government of British Columbia outplacement services.

We currently work with the provincial government to manage and deliver outplacement services to one hundred and fifty clients per year. Using group workshops and individual coaching, participants are equipped with tools to help them re-enter the workforce and gain a new sense of hope, confidence and direction. Strategic has been recognized provincially and federally for excellence in delivery and outstanding client results.

Example #4
We began coaching an entrepreneur offering him executive coaching to help bring personal focus and accountability so that he could see his growing business take off. The results of this intervention were so positive that Strategic moved on to work in a number of areas of the business including:

  • Management and executive coaching
  • Identifying problem employees
  • Managing fair dismissal and outplacement
  • Sales training
  • Strategic planning retreats
  • Board development and facilitation

Example #5
We worked with an entrepreneur to implement systems in the business to help him regain control of his business and his life. He was going through dramatic growth. We coached him in the skills of building a self-managed team and helped him find the right General Manager, and move existing staff into the right roles within the business, with dramatic results.

Example#6
We worked with an ownership family where the otherwise healthy business was in jeopardy due to a conflict within the family circle. Because appropriate conflict is healthy, we began by speaking with each participant and establishing ‘rules of engagement.’

Through individual and smaller group meetings, we were able to help to rebuild trust to a place where the family could function, show respect to each other, and deal effectively with the business. We continued to work with them to hold them to their commitment to improve the health of their relationships through new communication skills and regular family meetings.

Example #7
We worked with a sales team to develop sales goals, learn critical sales skills, structure a strong compensation plan, and work as a team to get much better results.
