Greetings, I attended the Success at Work program in April 2008. I would like to say thank you to all the facilitators for the help they have provided me to find my career path. The information I gathered has assisted me in achieving the funding I was pursuing. I am now enrolled and attending Selkirk College for the Integrated Environmental Planning program. I am enjoying my training and will be out in the workforce in the next two years, with the right determination. After working in the same field for 24 years, for a variety of reasons, I found myself unemployed. I was really struggling and floundering; no idea where to go or what to do. Through the Success @ Work program I was given an opportunity to refocus my passions and strengths; to rediscover my self-worth and value. Through this very individual and supportive experience, I have been able to chart a new and thoughtful course for my work future. My client was so very impressed with the program and the facilitator(s), he said I should recommend this for everyone re-entering the work force. He was struggling with his confidence and motivation when we first met. This young man has an incredible gift for teaching and guiding, in a soft sincere and genuine manner. I just wanted to let you know that I will be continuing the Success @ Work program to completion. I was supposed to be starting another course by now, but have decided to put it off until next month. I feel very uplifted and encouraged at Strategic. When I go home at night, I feel at peace, and deal with my kids and boyfriend in a more positive way. I don’t feel like I have changed, but everyone around me has commented on the change in me, and it makes me feel very good!
